I carry with me a blue earth marble. I use it to illustrate how small Mother Earth is and to demonstrate that where you live is just a stone’s throw from where I break bread with those that I love. The wind that stirs the curtain above your baby’s crib was just exhaled by my grandson. The rainwater that washes your mother’s feet was, just a second ago, the moisture in my tears.
This little glass orb has the world imprinted upon it. The oceans are blue, the mountains are snow capped, and the continents are green or brown, representative of the moisture that each region receives.
What is not on this tiny Gaia are any lines representing countries. There are no boundaries separating you from your neighbor. Those political borders are false separations.
We are on this world together to love and grow and thrive. The vast cosmos is not divided. There are no boundaries; there never were. The only separation is within us. As the stars shine down upon us all, gaze upon them with a vision of inclusion and see that there are no boundaries.
